Be amazed by the local catch at LOVE SEAFOOD TASTES PORT STEPHENS this August! Port Stephen’s month-long celebration has arrived! The renowned Port Stephens events, Love Sea Food and Tastes at the Bay, have joined in 2019 to create one of the biggest events on the winter calendar in Port Stephens. You are spoilt for choice with an abundance of fresh seafood year-round but August is the best time to experience the local catch as the Love Sea Food Tastes Port Stephens month rolls-out.

Starting off the month is the Port to Plate Gala Dinner on Saturday, 3 August where guests will dine on a seafood inspired six course menu prepared by five leading local chefs, served with matched wine tastings. Returning to the festival program this year, by popular demand, is the Love Sea Food Signature Series. These very special dining experiences are hosted by some of the region’s finest restaurants and renowned local chefs, who go all-out to impress with their creative take on the world-class local seafood.

Throughout August you can indulge in a wide variety of the delicious, local seafood specialities at popular Port Stephens restaurants and cafes. Regional specialities including creamy rock oysters, fresh prawns, and a host of just-caught fish will be featured on the Love Sea Food Tastes Port Stephens weekly special menus, as restaurants and cafes around Port Stephens get creative. Every week there will be a seafood cooking class with a local chef showcasing different seafood and how to prepare delicious meals you can cook at home.

Love Sea Food Tastes Port Stephens is all about enjoying the famous Port Stephens seafood, right at the source. You can meet the local oyster growers, who have been harvesting the pristine waters for generations, and get your feet tapping and your taste buds dancing at the big Tastes Port Stephens Weekend of food, wine and jazz on 31 August and 1 September in Nelson Bay CBD and d’Albora Marinas. Enjoy fresh local seafood and delights from local providers accompanied by wine and live jazz at Tastes Port Stephens. Try fresh local oysters direct from the farmers, join a cooking demonstration, or get on board for the Tastes Jazz Luncheon Cruise. On Sunday, it will be fun for all the family with great activities for Dad’s and the kids on Father’s Days. Now is the ideal time to enjoy our coastal cuisine.
